Deborah Taub, PhD, has provided technical assistance, professional development, and coaching for states, territories, and other entities working to develop and sustain systemic change with a focus on inclusive practices for students with complex disabilities. Dr. Taub has expertise in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), co-teaching and coaching, systems change, and making standards-based content instruction accessible. Her work is informed by her experience as a teacher and the practical needs of the classroom as well as evidence-based practices and research. Currently, she works with several collaborators on projects to support UDL and accessible standards-based instruction for all students. She works with the TIES Center as a technical assistance specialist around evidence-based practices and sustainable systems for equitable inclusive opportunities to learn for all students. Dr. Taub has contributed journal articles, book chapters, and numerous trainings to the field of educating children with complex needs, and has presented internationally. She was also a writer and developer for the educational materials of the film Intelligent Lives.
