Thinking Mathematics is an approach to teaching math, applicable at all levels, that helps students achieve the goals expected of secondary students in college- and career-ready standards. AFT teachers developed it in collaboration with researchers at the University of Pittsburgh's Learning Research and Development Center.

Professional Credit
Share My Lesson courses are available for PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.
In addition, Share My Lesson has arrangements in place as follows:
- New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approved professional development provider for Illinois Federation of Teachers members
- Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved professional development provider for Texas AFT members
- AFT Pennsylvania members can submit their PD certificate to Philadelphia’s Health & Welfare Department for Act48 credit approval
- Indiana educators can receive PD credit by submitting webinar details to their principal for approval and uploading their certificate to the LVIS system
