About This Lesson

The Prohibition era was rife with hyper-partisanship, which came to a climax during the 1928 presidential election. In this lesson, students examine the extreme politics of the
1924 Democratic Convention and the 1928 presidential election. They will analyze the
propaganda tactics of that time and apply that learning to the political climate of today.
